Over here at Fiction Over Reality we over wanting, hoping and dreaming and instead we are going to turn this into a reality. Having my own bookshop and coffee house has been a dream of mine for over 10 years, that I have had pinning in the back of my head all this time.
I want to show my children that your career can change, your goals can refocus and you should be following your passion and not letting hurdles stop you.
So as I right this financing of our very exciting project is tied up with risk assessment and analysis - even though I know in my heart that this project can work. It's hard to for someone to read a business plan and to realise that the book community is like no other and can support you and will buy books and coffee with you - rather than a big retailer. The book world has seismically shifted and we need to get on board of supporting our little small businesses and independents.
I'm hoping this kickstarter campaign can show the business and finance world that us book girlies know what we are talking about and the support will be there.
If you are in the book community and even support a $ it literally means everything to me. But you get me, the vibe, the community we are trying to create here in Brisbane.
I don't want to give potential location of store away just yet, but it's for my Southside girlies.
